Luxury hair deserves luxury care — because premium extensions are an investment in your confidence and beauty. Following these few essential steps will help ensure your extensions stay flawless: always brush gently to avoid tangles, cleanse with sulfate-free, hydrating products, protect your hair from sun, chlorine, and saltwater, and handle each strand with care. With the right attention, you’ll maintain lasting softness, shine, and strength, keeping your hair looking as stunning as the day you transformed it.
-Brush out any tangles before showering to avoid matting.
-Always use sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner.
-Never use repair, bonding, or protein treatments on extensions — these can make the hair brittle and cause breakage; look for products labeled hydrating or moisturizing instead.
-Gently scrub your scalp using the pads of your fingers, making sure to clean between your extension rows.
-Rinse thoroughly and apply conditioner to the mid-lengths and ends only — avoid the roots and seams.
-Use a weekly hydrating hair mask to maintain softness and shine.
-To properly brush your extensions, we recommend sectioning your hair and starting with the bottom layer first. Hold the base or attachment point gently with one hand and carefully brush small sections at a time, starting from the ends and working your way up.
- Avoid pulling or brushing too roughly near the
attachment points (whether tape, weft, or bonds), as this can weaken or damage the connection.
-Once the bottom section is detangled, drop down the next layer and repeat the same process, always brushing from the ends upward.
- We recommend using a soft bristle or extension-safe brush to help maintain the integrity of the hair and minimize breakage or shedding.
-Gently pat hair with a towel to soak up excess moisture
-Avoid rough rubbing to prevent tangles.
-Using just your hands, blow-dry the hair until it’s about 80% dry, making sure to direct the airflow downward to keep strands smooth.
-Once the hair is nearly dry, switch to a round brush for final styling, applying minimal tension to protect the extension bonds or seams.
-We don’t recommend letting extensions air-dry, as this can lead to irritation or discomfort at the attachment points.
-If you must air-dry, always ensure the seams or bonds are fully dried with a blow-dryer to maintain scalp comfort.
-Always brush your hair gently before bedtime to remove tangles.
-Secure your hair in a loose braid or low ponytail with a soft scrunchie to prevent friction and minimize matting overnight.
-For added protection, we recommend sleeping on a silk pillowcase — it reduces friction, helps maintain moisture, and extends the life of your extensions.
-Avoid swimming in saltwater or chlorine while wearing extensions; if you’re near the pool or ocean, always secure your hair in an updo or braid to reduce exposure.
-Only apply mineral-based sunscreen (we recommend Bare Republic), as non-mineral formulas with Avobenzone or Octocrylene can stain extensions — especially blonde shades causing pinkish or orange discoloration.
-Wear a wide-brimmed sun hat to help shield your hair from sun damage and preserve color.
Pro tip: Bring a gallon of clean water with you and pour it over your hair before entering the pool or ocean — this helps “fill” the hair cuticle, making it less likely to absorb salt or chlorine. If
you can’t avoid getting your hair wet, rinse it out immediately after swimming to minimize buildup and damage.
