A tariff is a government-imposed tax on imported goods that increases the cost of bringing products into a country. These costs are paid by the importing business (us) — not the country of origin — and they directly impact the luxury hair extension industry.

As of March 2, 2025, the U.S. government introduced a 20% tariff on human hair extensions, and as of April 9, 2025, that tariff has increased significantly — up to 145% on certain categories.

While Transformed Silhouette is actively advocating for change and exploring every possible workaround, we must adjust our pricing to reflect these new, unavoidable costs.

Starting May 1, 2025, we have implemented a 10% tariff surcharge on all products. This surcharge is calculated based on each item’s retail MSRP price and directly reflects the impact of these government-imposed tariffs on our business and the luxury hair extension industry.

We are committed to full transparency and deeply appreciate your understanding and continued support as we navigate these challenges.

At Transformed Silhouette, our sourcing and production team is working closely with our trusted overseas partners to maximize efficiency and streamline operations across our entire supply chain. We are committed to absorbing as much of the financial impact from the newly imposed tariffs as possible to protect our customers.

While we do need to introduce a 10% tariff surcharge at checkout, calculated off the retail MSRP, our ultimate goal is to minimize the effect on you — ensuring you continue to receive the premium quality, luxury hair extensions you love, without unnecessary price increases.
